DIFFERENCE BETWEEN F1 TYRES AND ROAD TYRES

  1.  F1 tires are made up of 19% natural rubber, whereas road tires are made up of less than 19% natural rubber 
  2. F1 cars tire has more silica to decrease rolling resistance compared to road tires. 
  3. F1 tires use less synthetic rubber compared to road tires which make them soft.
  4. F1 tires are softer than normal road tires
  5. F1 tires have thread of just 2 to 3 mm, but road tires have thread of 30 mm

F1 tires are made up of larger percentage of pure rubber and less percentage of synthetic rubber and other chemicals to decrease resistance of rolling offered by rubber and also to get more cornering and braking force

  1. They are kept in temperature of 300*F for a long time to test their quality 
  2. they are spun on a speed of up to 270kmph for a long time
  3. Almost 1000 kg is been kept on them to test their strength
  4. They are been crashed with a speed of 160 kmph to check resistance with a collision.
After all these test on each tires they are been send to use for the F1 race.
