HOW DOES ABS, EBD & BA SAVES YOUR LIFE IN ACCIDENTS ?

ANTILOCK  BRAKING  SYSTEM

ABS stands for" ANTI LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM ". ABS is now available on almost all the new generation cars.

FUNCTIONING OF ABS

ABS helps in avoiding accidents by reducing the braking distance . Braking distance is the distance covered by the car to come to rest from its initial speed. During a situation of accident due to our reflex we apply brakes with full force , The car not having ABS gets drifted due to locking of tires by hard braking. Now the car having ABS gets safe during the same incident as ABS is a technology that identifies this situation and even if you apply brakes hard it automatically apply brakes in a better form. Not like ordinary brakes the ABS tends to brake the car by tro & fro applying and leaving brakes which prevents drifting or skid   of the car further.

Hence this reduces the Braking distance by a large distance and avoid collision of car and gives you that extra time to move your car right or left.

ELECTRNOIC BRAKEFORCE DISTRIBUTION

EBD stands for " ELECTRNOIC BRAKEFORCE DISTRIBUTION" EBD is still not standard on all upcoming new generation cars but we get to see EBD in cars costing 10 lakhs plus.

FUNCTIONING OF EBD

EBD avoids the drifting of cars on turns during monsoon or on gravel when there is low grip offered to tires by the road. When we accelerate 60% of our weight gets distributed back wards and when we brake 60% weight is shifted to the front side. On taking turns the weight gets distributed more on the side of tire to which the turn is been taken. Due to this the weight distribution on tire gets disturbed and braking performance is violated for that period of time causing drift. EBD distributes the braking to all 4 tire even on such situations and makes sure that all brakes are braking with equal force by applying more internal pressure on them .

EBD avoids drifting of cars during turns which help us to avoid collision with dividers and saves our car from massive crash.

 BRAKE  ASSIST

BA Stands for " BRAKE ASSIST" which automatically judge the distance of car ahead and apply brakes more urgently if required in that particular situation.

FUNCTIONING OF BRAKE ASSIST

Most of the cars do not get this feature but actually this is a really smart feature. Most of the people do not know about this feature or simply ignore it. Brake Assist is very smart technology indeed. We all start driving at some point of life and its normal that everyone takes time to know the judgement of braking, acceleration, steering etc. During a close call of accident if the new driver apply the brakes but it proves not to be much effective as the timing and force of braking was not right resulting in collision of car. Brake Assist understand and analysis this situation and apply brakes before and with extra force above the force which you have already applied on brakes which helps the car to stop or come at rest more quickly and avoid the collision of car with the object ahead.
